Kythira: A hidden gem

Kythira is an island of Greece, historically part of the Ionian Islands. It lies opposite the eastern tip of the Peloponnese peninsula. In Ancient Greek Mythology, Kythira was considered to be the island of celestial Aphrodite, the Goddess of love.

Greek Night under Santorini island

Our Greek-night dinner is followed by the famous and much-loved Greek night on board. Greek dance is a very old tradition, being referred to by authors such as Plato, Aristotle, Plutarch, and Lucian. There are different styles and interpretations from all of the islands and surrounding mainland areas. Each region formed its own choreography and style to fit in with its own ways. For example, island dances have more of a different smooth flow to them. Be tempted and follow the rhythm!

Hydra's quaint port

Hydra Island, one of the most unspoiled and interesting of
the Greek islands, is a small rocky island in the Argosaronic Gulf, southeast out of the Athens port of Piraeus and within sight of the southern Peloponnese mainland. It’s very cosmopolitan, safe and one of the easiest of the Greek islands to access. Best of all, the entire island is a preserved national monument and has retained all its 17th & 18th-century charm and quaintness.

Patmos: A touch of the Divine

Surrender yourself to the mysticism and tranquility of the island of The Apocalypse. The Cave of the Apocalypse, this sacred, candlelit grotto is believed to be the spot where St John the Divine received his visions from Christ and transcribed the Book of Revelation, the last chapter of the Christian Bible. Exiled on Patmos in 95 AD, he preached to, baptized, and prayed with the island’s inhabitants. Eventually, Patmos came to be considered sacred and the cave became the focal point of a significant religious pilgrimage.

Symi, Greece

While approaching the port of Symi, one has the overwhelming feeling of entering a perfectly painted image of a scenic traditional village. As a rule, people remain agape and cannot take their eyes off the spectacular sight. The few who can resist the superb spectacle of the town of Symi stretching its impeccable architecture – all of the buildings there have been listed - on the slopes of the surrounding hills, take off their eyes to look at their book guides. They see the picture of the port of Symi printed on their books.

Kalymnos, the island of the sea- sponge harvesters

The fourth-largest island of the Dodecanese Group is widely known as an international sponge-harvesting trade center. After WW II, Kalymnos remained the only Greek island engaged in the sea sponge-harvesting activity, supplying Syros, Nafplio, and Constantinople and traveled as far as Odessa, St Petersburg, Moscow, Trieste, and the Middle East.
